Jeff Conway, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and dear friend, passed away on June 13, 2022. His infectious smile, intellect, integrity, and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Jeffrey Jason Conway was born on December 20, 1972, in Dallas, Texas, to Derrell Wayne Conway and Loretta Morris Conway. Jeff graduated from Newman Smith High School in 1991 and continued his education at the University of Texas in Austin, where he was a member of the Texas Longhorn baseball team. After a few years of playing professional baseball, Jeff returned to school and earned his BA in History from UT before attending law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. First at the DA’s office in Collin County, then at Silber Pearlman in Dallas and ultimately at LeBlanc Conway, a firm he founded with his wife Jena, Jeff worked tirelessly as an advocate for his clients and left his mark everywhere he went. He was equally revered by colleagues and clients.

Jeff was the consummate teammate and friend, and his successes both on and off the field were great. While at Newman Smith HS, Jeff made All-District twice, was the District Player of the Year in 1991, and was also named to the All-State team his Senior year. As an outfielder for the University of Texas from 1992-1994, Jeff was named to both the All-Conference and All-Academic teams in 1994 before being drafted by the San Diego Padres. While in the Padres organization, Jeff played Minor League baseball in Spokane, WA and Rancho Cucamongo, CA. Jeff was a natural leader, effortlessly picking up his teammates and bringing out the best in everyone around him. Jeff led with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face, but make no mistake, he was the fiercest competitor on the field.

Despite his many accolades as a lawyer and athlete, Jeff’s greatest accomplishment was his family. Jeff treasured his wife, Jena, and was so proud of their four kids, Abby, Jackson, Nancy Grace and Annalise. They truly were the joy of his life. Jeff adored his family and friends, and always made sure you knew how much he loved you. Phones will be quieter without the constant barrage of texts from Jeff sharing his life’s musings and telling you he loved you. In addition to his love for his family and friends, Jeff’s love for the Texas Longhorns knew no bounds. Jeff loved all sports and had an uncanny ability to recall the play-by-play of any Longhorn game he ever watched.

If you knew Jeff, you knew a witty, kind man with a giving heart and ready smile. He was preceded in death by his grandparents James Edward Conway, Sue Ann Conway, Harry Wayne Morris and Uva Yates Morris; his cousin Chad Moses; his Aunt Donna Jean Conway Moses; and his father-in-law Jules Burton LeBlanc III. He is survived by his wife, Jena LeBlanc Conway; children Abigail Grace Conway, Jackson Lee Conway, Nancy Grace Duncan, and Annalise Aimee Duncan; father Derrell Wayne Conway and his wife Jan Johnson Conway; mother Loretta Morris Conway; sister and brother-in-law Shannon Conway Duvall and Kevin Todd Duvall, and nieces Anna Katherine Duvall and Elizabeth Paige Duvall; his mother-in-law Nancy Suzanne Chesson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch, Texas. Additionally, a celebration of Jeff’s life will be held that evening at the Addison Ice House at 7:00 pm for any family and close friends who would like to raise a toast to Number #15. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
