For those of you who do not know, there will be an inspirational documentary that will chronicle Fred’s life journey from a German concentration camp, to his years as the UT Texas football kicker, and his successful career after UT. · Two insight stories- one written by Bob Gamblin about David Kristynik and the other written about Garry Brown. These two stories have now been archived for future generations of Longhorn fans to read. Garry’s story is quite inspirational to me because his story captures the “rest of the story” about playing sports at Texas. The “face” of the UT sports brand belongs to all the great UT Olympians, record setters, All Americans, and award winners, but the heart and soul of Texas sports belong to the many players who made every work-out, every film session, and every meeting but received no recognition or honor. I would love to receive more insight stories for the archives about players from all sports. If you don’t feel comfortable writing about an important event in your life while at Texas, then write something about a teammate you admire.

· The struggle of soccer player Kylie Doniak to recover from a horrendous act perpetrated by a drunk driver. She has been added to the “Sentry” list .
· There is now a “link” section on the TLSN site. This site will contain links to Longhorn game highlight films and links to comments from former Longhorn players. This project is just starting, and more content will follow.

Tim said he suffers from dementia and may not recognize you, but he wanted you to know in case you wanted to go visit. At this point and time TLSN has no funds to support Julius, but there is a fund already set up with a mandate to assist DKR players. Julius Whittier Said Before An Important Game. They're Not Going To Out Run Us. Outsmart Us Maybe, But They're Going To Have To Do It On Every Play. I Don't Think That's Going To Happen. . Whittier Arrived At The University Of Texas At Austin As An Undergraduate In 1969 And Played Football From 1970 To 1971. After graduation, he returned the university as an LBJ School student in 1974. "I met President Johnson during my years as an undergraduate," said Whittier. "Coach Royal and some other athletes from my football team went to the Johnson Ranch and that's when I first learned what the LBJ School was all about.
